Resumo:
A mídia tem um importante papel social na construção de ações de enfrentamento da violência sexual contra crianças e adolescentes no sentido de mobilizar a sociedade em identificar estas situações e proteger as vítimas. Nesta direção, este artigo tem o objetivo de analisar como e transmitido os casos de violência sexual contra crianças e adolescentes da mídia araguaínense. Para isto foi realizada uma pesquisa quanti-qualitativa através da clipagem dos casos de violência sexual contra crianças e adolescentes em Araguaína-TO nos anos de 2015 a 2020. Análise deste levantamento baseou-se nas seguintes informações: ano do ocorrido, gênero, raça, idade, como o fato é relatado pelas agências jornalísticas. A partir disto, foram identificadas 6 reportagens neste lapso temporal. Observa-se que as notícias não apresentam dados das características de identificação que estruturam as relações sociais, por outro lado acabam identificando as vitimas ao expor fotos endereços e características pessoas das pessoas envolvidas na situação de violêncial. Conclui-se que a mídia de Araguaína-TO não cumpre o papel social de mobilizar a sociedade para a proteção de crianças e adolescentes, no enfrentamento da violência sexual. No entanto, incentiva as relações de ódio e vingança entre as pessoas.
Abstract:
The media has an important social role in the construction of actions to combat sexual violence against children and adolescents in order to mobilize society to identify these situations and pro-tect the victims. In this sense, this article aims to analyze how cases of sexual violence against children and adolescents in the media of Araguaína are transmitted. For this, a quantitative and qualitative research was carried out through the clipping of cases of sexual violence against chil-dren and adolescents in Araguaína-TO in the years 2015 to 2020. Analysis of this survey was based on the following information: year of occurrence, gender, race, age, as the fact is reported by news agencies. From this, 6 reports were identified in this time period. It is observed that the news does not present data on the identification characteristics that structure social relations, on the other hand, they end up identifying the victims by exposing photos, addresses and personal characteristics of the people involved in the situation of violence. It is concluded that the media in Araguaína-TO does not fulfill the social role of mobilizing society for the protection of children and adolescents in the fight against sexual violence. However, it encourages hateful and revenge-ful relationships between people.
